Depression STUDY AT Boston Neuro Research:
Boston Neuro Research is committed to understanding and treating depression, a mood disorder that affects how people feel, think, and handle daily activities.
INCLUSIONS:
Participants eligible for the depression study must meet the following criteria:
- Diagnosis: Individuals must have a clinical diagnosis of major depressive disorder.
- Age: Participants should be aged 18 to 65 years.
- Health Status: Stable medical conditions unrelated to depression that do not interfere with study procedures.
- Informed Consent: Participants must provide informed consent to join the study.
EXCLUSIONS:
Factors that may disqualify individuals from the depression study include:
- Severe Psychiatric Disorders: Presence of severe psychiatric conditions other than depression, such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
- Unstable Medical Conditions: Uncontrolled chronic illnesses such as severe cardiovascular disease.
- Recent Participation: Involvement in other clinical trials within the past 30 days.
- Substance Abuse: Active substance abuse that could interfere with the study.
MEDICATIONS:
Participants will be treated with specific medications and therapies including:
- Antidepressants: Medications such as SSRIs and SNRIs.
- Investigational Drugs: New treatments being tested for efficacy and safety.
- Adjunct Therapies: Additional treatments such as psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions.
